In the Victorian era the Isle of Man became a popular destination up until the early 1960’s when people wanted to travel to foreign destinations on cheap flights looking for sunshine.

Currently we are have more interest in the island from travellers who are looking at heritage, history and a destination closer to the British Isles, and cruise ships coming in to our shores looking for the older and more gentle world we have to offer.

By next year the number of cruise ships will have increased by almost a third, showing that we truly are growing again as a place to visit and explore.

Come on and visit the Isle of Man, take a local tour on our Victorian Transport system and if you really want to find out more about the island take a guided tour of the Isle of Man with a local tour guide.
